The best and most natural (and cheapest) sports drink is homemade:
- 60-70% apple juice
- 30-40% mineral water
- some lemon juice or blackcurrant juice if you absolutely want extra vitamin C in your drink
- half teaspoon of natural unrefined sea salt for the minerals and electrolytes per 1 liter (=4cups) of liquid (this does not taste salty)

You can get more calcium than you ever wanted from simple sesame snack bars (preferably sweetened with honey or raw sugar). Ten tablespoons of sesame seeds contain 100% of your recommended daily calcium, iron and magnesium intake, and a bunch of other nutrients.

The best thing you can drink while exercising is water - room temperature. For a little flavor and a vitamin c kick add lemon juice.
